We built this site because radon information for York County specifically was harder to find than it should be, and because a few sites we came across in our own research were citing numbers -- a county average, a percentage of homes affected -- that we could not trace back to any government source. So every DEP, EPA, and USGS figure on this site is sourced, and where the data genuinely does not exist publicly (PA DEP does not publish a county-wide radon average, for instance), we say so rather than fill the gap with an estimate.
Before we refer a professional, we require current DEP certification under Pennsylvania's Radon Certification Act (Act 43) and Chapter 240 of the state code -- the same thing we tell every visitor to ask for directly, whoever they hire. We do not guarantee outcomes, pricing, or timelines on behalf of any contractor we refer; those are between you and the professional who does the work.

Fair question, and we would rather you ask it than not. This site does not have years of reviews to point to. What we can offer instead is sourced content: every DEP and EPA figure on this site links to where it came from, and we have specifically avoided repeating radon numbers we found on other sites that we could not verify against a government source -- check the citations on any page as the real test, not how long the site has existed.
